    The Committee on Government Organization moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:

    Eng. Senate Bill No. 524--A Bill to amend and reenact §60A-9-5 and §60A-9-7 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended; and to amend said code by adding thereto a new section, designated §60A-9-5a, all relating to the controlled substances monitoring act; requiring practitioners with prescriptive authority that are licensed by various boards to access the controlled substances monitoring database; requiring such practitioners to search controlled substances monitoring database; requiring such practitioners to document information obtained from the controlled substances monitoring database; providing rule-making authority; providing emergency rule-making authority; and setting forth penalties.
